Honda Civic Type R MUGEN

Recently, MUGEN Euro has confirmed that they will roll out only 20 Honda Civic Type Rs which prepped by the tuner. Each of it will be powered up by a 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine capable and producing at least 240PS. Besides that, in this Type R version a lot of the major improvement has been made to the power plant which included the new camshafts, modified intake system, custom stainless steel exhaust system and the bespoke MUGEN map for the ECU.

MUGEN also worked on improving the handling part, especially the suspension set-up, custom made springs and the dampers. However, the Type R MUGEN still comes with a limited slip of differential. The stopping power has been improved by installing bespoke four piston mono block racing brake calipers. Additionally, there are also high-density light weight forged alloy wheels.

As for the exterior of the Civic type R MUGEN, it was treated to be installed with a large wing, new design for the front and rear skirting, new grille that wearing the MUGEN emblem and finally was the Championship White body. The color that being applied was the Honda’s traditional racing color that was being picked with first seen term. Buyers can eventually chose to opt for a Track Pack that is made up by Recaro front seats, water and oil temperature/pressure gauges, the data recording equipment and also the track-ready road-legal tires. Unfortunately, in this package the developer will take away the rear seat bench in order to reduce the car weight. Lastly, the ECU mapping will also being adjusted again according to the specific customer taste and driving style so that the feeling of driving will bring the customer more comfortable.
