Chevy Volt Production To Be Increased

2011-chevrolet-volt-reviewOnly 1,703 Chevy Volt models were sold by General Motors during April, but there are plans to boost that production considerably for the 2012 model. This plant will be capable to produce 16,000 cars during 2011 and it will go up to 60,000 during 2012. Out of these 60,000 Chevy Volts, three quarters will be produced for the United States.

As soon as the 2012 Chevy Volt begins production, the sales for the United States will begin. Right now you can only get the 2011 models in certain area, including New York, California, New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, Washington DC, Virginia and Connecticut. Towards the end of the year, exports to Europe, Canada and China will begin as well.
