China-made London Cabs

Kiev, which was the capital of Ukraine, was now eagerly waiting for the arrival of much more anticipated new model. But not the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG which was rumoured will be coming to Malaysia soon but the legendary London Taxi was Kiev set to become one of the first cities in the world to introduce the iconic vehicle.
Nowadays the London cab was still built by the same company who designed it over 60 years ago. According to Matthew Cheyne, the LTI Vehicles’ International Market Development Director they claimed themselves know more about taxi design and manufacture compared to anybody else. As for todays, the current version of the black cab was actually built in China by the LTI and their joint venture company Geely.
Furthermore from Matthew Cheyne, they have been working for so long time ago just to produce a cost effective vehicle that it doesn’t lose any of the values that the taxi has in the UK. Plus it was the same design and was as robust as the one was built in Britain but has a lower cost instead. LTI Vehicles claims that it also has numerous advance enquiries from Ukraine, and is looking for a partner who will import the vehicle and provide sales and after the sales back up.
