Ford Mustang Dumps Ancient 4.0L V6
Yes, the Ford Mustang was finally willing to dumps away the ancient 4.0L V6 engine. The latest Ford Mustang may look hot but if you are not driving one with the V8 under the hood, the only one u need to deal with is a 4.0 liter Cologne V6 which only able to makes 210 horses and 325Nm of torque. Other than the Mustang, the engine is only able to be found in trucks like the Ranger and the Explorer.
Plus it also found its way into the Land Rover LR3 as a baseline petrol engine too. As for the current Mustang, it has been updated for the next year and finally gets a proper baseline V6 this time from the Cyclone family which officially called as the Duratec 37. Of course, you may also find this engine in the North American Mazda 6 and CX-9. This displacement is down to 3.7 liters but the engine actually able to produces more power than the 4.0 liter it replaces.
As for the new Duratec 37 was actually able to makes out up to 305 horsepower and 380Nm of torque which is actually more than the very modern Nissan’s 3.7L V6’s 366Nm. Although by comparing the peak torque figures and how wide the engine can make its peak torque there are absolutely some difference, but as we know in this world everything got pros and cons.
