Kia has released the first official pictures and information on the new Rio model. It will be presented formally at the Geneva Motor Show together with the new Picanto. Koreans have begun a campaign to refresh its model range.
Kia Rio has suffered a series of important internal and external changes, Koreans want to refresh the entire range of models. Although not published pictures inside the new compact, Kia said it is offering high quality and new endowments.
The new model has a length with 70 mm higher , so that rear passengers now have more space and storage space of the luggage compartment is 292 liters. The new model is also 25 mm wider and 15 mm of height lost.
Regarding the engines, the new Rio will be available with a range of diesel and gasoline engines. Of the 1.1-liter diesel engine recall capable of developing 70 horsepower and emits just 85 g CO2 per kilometer. Kia said it would launch in 2012 and a 1.2-liter supercharged engine GDI.
