New Suzuki Alto at Malaysia

New Suzuki
Another new car is launched by Suzuki Malaysia Automobile (SMA) in Malaysia on this week, that is, the Alto, which is an A-segment rival to the Perodua Viva and Hyundai i10. This car is using the imported subcompact from Maruti Suzuki in India where Maruti Suzuki India is the global production hub for this model.
The Alto has a 996cc three-cylinder engine, with 67 bhp and 90 Nm of torque. If compared with Viva Ezi which has 60 bhp and 90 Nm from its 989cc triple, the alto has more power although it has weight of 880kg whereas 810kg for Viva Ezi. Besides, you can choose 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox for the K10B engine. All these features are roughly same with the concept form of Alto, or called A-Star at that time, when it was shown at the Delhi Motor Show.
The Alto will be sold with price of RM44,888 (OTR without insurance) GA manual, which has a folding rear bench, dual airbags and a pollen filter (without the automatic GLX model’s fog lamps), coloured wing mirror caps, tachometer, front power windows, 50:50 split folding rear seats and ABS/EBD. While it costs RM49,888 and RM54,888 respectively for GLX and GLX with additional adds window tint, leather seats, door visors and a bodykit.
Suzuki Alto is getting a lot of attention. Apart from its fuel economy, it 5 colour is also very attractive.
